Elyse Brouwer is a 2nd generation Chinese Canadian who was born and raised in Vancouver - right here in Riley Park! She has been married to Christian since 2014 and they are parents to two awesome kids, Jayda and Noah. She began following Jesus as a teenager and graduated from Summit Pacific College with her BA in Pastoral Theology. She is currently working on her MA in Theological Studies at Regent College. She loves encouraging and empowering people to live like Jesus. She considers herself a lifelong learner, and is passionate about helping others grow in their understanding about Jesus and the Bible. In her free time, she loves to read and also likes to make room for being creative, whether that involves writing, sewing, painting, etc.
Elyse Brouwer is ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and has been serving in vocational ministry since 2013. In addition to pastoring in the local church, she serves as a member of the PAOC General Executive and has contributed to several national initiatives related to racial equality, mentorship, and discipling the next generation. She has also had the privilege of being invited to preach or teach workshops at various camps, conferences, and retreats across the country.
