Vincent Chan was born and raised in Vancouver and is a 2nd generation Chinese Canadian. He graduated from SFU with a BSc in Interactive Arts and completed his MA in Children’s and Family Ministry at Bethel Seminary. Vincent loves seeing young people and families grow in their faith and discover their calling in life. He loves investing in young leaders and seeing them accomplish things beyond their imaginations. When Vincent needs to recharge, he’ll go out in the backcountry and be in the stillness and quietness of God or jump on a plane to experience what God is doing in the missions field.
Vincent has worked with children, youth, and families in various environments for over 20 years, including out-of-school care, day camps, church ministries, and overseas missions. He’s worked in churches for over 15 years, with 10 of them in pastoral ministry. He has also served as a children’s and family ministry cluster leader for PAOC BC/Yukon district for six years and was on staff at Summit Pacific College for four years. He founded Thriving Kids Care Society, a not-for-profit day camp provider, to bridge the community with the local church. He also launched The Hope Project, a registered charity, where he leads church missions teams and humanitarian teams to serve the vulnerable children and families in rural and jungle communities in Costa Rica.
